Re:Never too old to play? - 2007/08/24 20:50
Ok, lets see if I can remember all of this. I enlisted and went to basic training when I was 26. Most of the guys I was in training with were right out of high school. It has stayed that way for the most part. There are some older people that I work with, but I am older than most. I'm 31 right now, and I run at least 5 or 6 miles at least 4 or 5 days a week. I average about a 14:30 on a 2 mile run, sometimes faster if I try. I will agree that once you hit 30, you do start falling apart. My knees, ankles, and feet hurt on a daily basis. I don't always keep up with the younger guys, but I definately try. So Chad, if you need a personal trainer, I think I am still in good enough shape to work you over pretty good. All I know is a bunch of military physical training things, but I'm sure they would get you in shape. I do have to admit though, I do have a bit of a man belly, but it isn't from beer. I actually hate beer. It is from not eating the best. Oh well, I guess as long as I can pass my pt tests, I'll be ok.
