Re:Bonjour Mes Amis, Bonjour! - 2007/03/30 15:55 The song I remember most from Mrs. Kroeker's music class was "Casey Jones" Does anyone else remember that one?

Re:Bonjour Mes Amis, Bonjour! - 2007/03/30 23:26 Ok first, I don't know how to GOOGLE. now stop laughing.
second...I don't remember that about ms. duck but thats a funny story. I remember going to a newspaper contest and she was driving the blue van I was sitting in the front seat and we had to park in the parking garage...we scrapped the top of that van real good. we couldn't stop laughing.
I remember gregory mcintosh and a heman lunch box. I remember going outside to dust erasers. that was a daily highlight. lol
I remember elementary Ms. Yarbarough's class reading national geographics and looking for the naked people in them. what an education.

Re:Bonjour Mes Amis, Bonjour! - 2007/03/31 04:47 The Don Gato song was from the music program we did that was all about colors I believe. We also sang a song about a Yellow Coot and the Purple People Eater.

I remember dusting erasers...lol Used to get in trouble for writing stuff on the basketball court with them too haha

And does anybody remember when Mrs Kolb tried to make sourkraut? *snickers*

Re:Bonjour Mes Amis, Bonjour! - 2007/03/31 16:22 I don't recall how the Casey Jones song went exactly.

Remember our Weekly Reader subscription? And ordering paperback books through those magazines?

Remember our play in 5th grade? The one about a radio station called K-I-D-S? I still remember all my lines from that play. In it, someone asked me if I knew the answer to something and I said "I give up."
I remember Janel singing the play's main song "Listen all you December days, do you think it's right? Christmas captures all the fame, all the praise in sight."

I definetely remember 'Purple Peaple Eater'. How about 'Miss Mary Ann'? "Down by the sea-side sifting sand."
Those songs were so lame they branded themselves in my head.

I liked Mrs. Kolb. Do you remember when she stood on her head to teach a lesson because we werent paying attention?

Once, in 5th grade the top 3 science project winners went from classroom to classromm showing off our projects. I made an electro magneet, I think Pat George had a hot dog roaster (A vacume power cord cut off with two nails on each end of the wires) and I don't remember what Kenny Jackson made. But I think we were in a 3rd grade class and the teacher let Jackson hang onto the hot dog cooker while Pat plugged him in. Can you imagine a teacher doing that? I will never forget Jackson's arms flying out and him screaming. Pat yanked the cord out real quick while the teacher just watched.

And lastly, how about McGruff the Crime Dog in Mrs. Bairds class?

Re:Bonjour Mes Amis, Bonjour! - 2007/03/31 18:39 I remember 'The Purple People Eater' and I also remember McGruff the crime dog. I know I wasn't in the same grade as you guys, but I remember making sauerkraut in Mrs. Kolb's class, too! I'll never forget taking the lid off of that giant pickle jar and getting a whiff of that smell for the first time! Do you guys remember D.A.R.E...to keep kids off drugs in 5th grade where a police officer would come like once a month and talk to us?

I also remember "having" to sit next to Paul Anderson in 5th grade. It just wasn't cool to sit next to a boy at that age. I remember he had a trapper keeper with a red car on it and a bikini chick in the reflection of the hub cap.

It's so funny what you remember! Sorry Paul! I also remember you making fun of my new cool pink eraser! =)

Re:Bonjour Mes Amis, Bonjour! - 2007/03/31 19:58 I remember Patrick Rice putting a staple in the plug in in Mrs. Kolb's class and shorting out the whole building. haha

And McGruff...aahhhh that dog.

And didn't I sit next to you Chad in Mrs Rush's class (In 3rd grade)?

I remember when we were all playing on the playground and we weren't allowed to talk to the Jr. High and High school kids as they walked the sidewalk to the cafeteria.

I read somewhere where a school system banned playing tag, because some kids felt it was unfair because they weren't as fast as others...can you imagine?? I can't even imagine a world where kids don't play tag...
