Re:Birthday Wishes - 2007/02/27 21:28 Ok, I don't want to hear anything from any of you about getting old. I turned 30 while in Kuwait waiting to come back to this crappy country. My family mourned for me on my wonderful day. It is hard to tell some days if I really am going bald, or if it is just the way the Army wants me to keep my hair cut. I have seen a lot more grey or white hairs since my first deployment, and they are getting more obvious now. I have bad knees, bad ankles, and bad feet. But, who can really complain. I'm still alive, I'm still breathing, and I'm really in the best shape of my life. To everyone hitting 30, it really is just another day and another number. Have fun and live it up.

Re:Birthday Wishes - 2007/02/27 22:21 Vance you know we all love you and dont forget "keep your head down" but on the other hand "JUST ANOTHER NUMBER" who are you kidding. lol It's 3 0! No more twenties. I am going to have to commit myself somewhere because I don't think I can handle it. I feel 20 (my body doesn't) but my mind does. lol
To all those turning 30 lets just start going backwards now so happy late 29th birthday Vance. lol

Re:Birthday Wishes - 2007/02/28 01:55 hehe I've never really had much of an issue with turning 30. Although my health hasn't been the most wonderful in the past year, but I don't think it has anything to do with age. My husband has decided I'm having my second 29th birthday this year. haha

Re:Birthday Wishes - 2007/02/28 02:50 If just the thought of turning 30 doesn't make me feel old, the people I work with definately do. My company has about 65 people in it. Out of those 65, I not only graduated high school, but also from college before most of them were even in high school. It is amazing to realize that December of 2008 will be my 10 year college reunion.

Re:Birthday Wishes - 2007/02/28 15:53 At one time I couldn't fathom having an intelligent conversation with someone born in the 80s. Now I'm starting to work with people that young. It will truly be depressing if I ever work for someone from that decade or (shudder) the next!

Redemption comes when I beat the younger players on a tennis court. I love to cause them to throw their racquet or blame the conditions. That is true ownage, no matter how close the score is.

30 is the new 20, I hear.

LOL... I was born in 1980. Not saying that we have had intelligent conversations, just found that funny.
