Re:the weather - 2007/01/14 00:49 We just got back from skiing in Colorado. We decided to leave a day early because Colorado was in for some winter storms. Little did we know Tulsa was in for storms of it's own! We drove thru sleet and freezing rain the entire way back! The freezing rain would hit our windshield and immediately freeze even though our defrost was running. We could barely see thru the windshield sometimes! I don't think we got as much ice as everyone else. We do have a sheet of ice, but it's pretty thin where we live in Tulsa. I'm glad to be home!

Re:the weather - 2007/01/15 21:47 Yea, I live in South Tulsa and my driveway has about 2-3 inches of ice on it. The roads to work this morning were a bit of a pain but as long as you don't drive like a moron they are fine.

My pops is without electricity in Locust Grove since Sunday. Anybody know when they are expecting to get all of this back up?

Hope everybody is doing their best to stay warm.

Re:the weather - 2007/01/17 02:21 My parents grandparents live out by mission bend and they have been out of power for about 4 days and my parents who live on hw old 33 have been without for a few days too. The power company told my parents it would be 1-2 weeks before their power would be up. I guess about 2-2.5 miles of powerlines along old 33 are laying on the ground. Go figure! Thank goodness for gas fire places and generators! Friendly Amish neighbors lended some lights for the house too.
