Re:Any interesting 'Blizzard of '06' stories? - 2006/12/14 16:02 I have long said that cold weather should not count against your lifespan. It's a wasted period of your life when you can't do most of the things you like to do, yet we still age during this time.
If I could successfully hibernate through the winter, I would gladly do so.

We went to my mother in law's house over New Year's a few years ago...and it was cold there, but no precipitation at all....till the day before we left, and we got 3 FEET of snow in one night! (and did I mention we DROVE there?) So we got to make use of my 4x4 very well that winter. I decided right then, Canada is a great place to spend a summer, but no thank you on the winters. I'll just stick to OK, where we have 70 degrees in December. lol No matter how cold it is this week, you can bet it'll change by this time next week.

Re:Any interesting 'Blizzard of '06' stories? - 2006/12/15 19:21 Just a quick update along with a weather report from the other side of the world. My brigade has moved from Mosul to Baghdad, so that is where I am at now. We will be here for the next six months, and then hopefully we will be going back home to Ft. Lewis, Wa. It is in the mid 60s during the days, and in the mid 40s during the nights here. We have had no rain and no snow. Last deployment, Nov 03 - Nov 04, it snowed on Feb 22nd. I'll let everyone know if it snows again while I'm here this time.
