I know what you mean, but there is always the thought that, if you play with it some on the side, when the big ones move to it, you will already have some "unofficial" experiance with it.
Right now I only use linux on a second hard drive in my home system to play with and try to keep up with some of the Unix stuff I learned in the Army, but some of the gaming machines we have in the casino run on linux, the only bad thing is they have one problem that keeps cropping up that I know how to fix, but can't, because I'm not allowed to, Vendor service agreements and stuff.
