She doesn't look one cent like me! I always figured I'd have kids with brown hair and brown eyes, but lo and behold, I have a blonde headed girl with curly hair and blue eyes!!! Go figure, but I KNOW she's mine! Beth has blue eyes, too! They get that from their handsome Daddy! My hubby did have blonde hair till he was 3, so I think that's where Rachel gets it.

Does anyone have any good diaper disposal tips? We've tried two different 'diaper genies' and they both stink up the room. I'm almost to the point of taking the screen off a window and just chucking them outside to a carefully placed trash can.

Kids are smelly.

Anyone else get Strepp? I had it last week and got a shot, now my wife and kid are dealing with it.

Re:WooHoo!!!! Thanks Chad! ;) - 2008/05/29 15:48 I have a diaper dekor and I love it. I hate the diaper genie...it didn't work for me. If she has a poopy diaper I put it in scented diaper sack and tie it up before I put it in the diaper dekor. It works for me!

Re:WooHoo!!!! Thanks Chad! ;) - 2008/05/29 18:33 I have a diaper genie II and it holds in odors pretty good...but I forget to use it most of the time. It's easier just to toss the diapers out the back door into the outside trash. LOL And yea, the walmart sacks and into the trash outside is what we've pretty well always done. The diaper genie really only gets used when it's too cold outside to even open the door. Which should tell you how much we've used it.

HOWEVER!!! It works really well for people who have incontinence problems. If you know what I mean. And no, I'm not talking about me.

I'm talking about someone else near and dear to my heart, but for fear of this getting back to her and embarrassing her, I won't tell you who. I'm sure you can all figure it out. heh It can hold pads and adult diapers, and it really does keep the urine smell down. I don't know how people can deal with that smell. *shudders* Anyway, it's one of the best investments we've ever made in that respect. So anyone who has an elderly loved one who still lives at home and has that type of problem, the diaper genie II is PERFECT for it. Just make sure you empty it once a week, otherwise, when you DO empty it...*gag*

We have a 1/4 size dumpster for all of our rural trash needs, and it's placed outside the Holland Compound. So it's not quick and easy to toss out small items.

I think this calls for some kind of diaper launcher based on our front porch. But shall I use explosive propellant or some kind of resistance acceleration? Sounds like a worthy summertime project. I'll have to see if my cousins' still have the old 'tater gun!

Well thanks for all the suggestions. I built a stone firepit in our backyard so I think I'll just toss the doo-diapers in that and fire it up once a week. I've incinerated worse in it so far, heh heh heh!
