Military Life? - 2005/10/17 01:01 Is there anyone else out there that joined the military after school or married someone who is in the military?

My husband just joined the Marine Corp and I am kind of excited but scared, I know there is at least one more person on here that is married to someone in the military and it is great to have old classmates with something still in common.

Re:Military Life? - 2005/10/17 01:19 All three of my brothers joined the Navy shortly after High School. My youngest brother is still on active duty stationed in Pearl Harbor (I know...poor guy, must be tough).

From looking at others profiles I would say there are a few on here that have or are serving our armed forces. It's a very honorable job and my hat goes off to those that serve.

Re:Military Life? - 2005/10/17 10:51 That's kewl, I had no idea. My hat also goes off to them, they are great and their jobs are tough.

I hope some of them will join in on this topic.

Re:Military Life? - 2005/10/24 20:16 I joined the Army Reserve during my senior year ('94-'95), but I got out within 9 months of joining. I reenlisted 3 1/2 years ago in the active Army. I am a Combat Medic, and have already deployed to Iraq once. I will possibly deploy to Iraq again around July 2006. If you have any questions, I know the Army and Marines are different from each other, but I would be glad to answer whatever questions I can.

You will get over the scary part real fast but the stress part is never over hahahahaha we are talking about the military here it doesn't matter what branch they all put their boots on the same way. Re:Military Life? - 2005/10/25 10:42 I am in the Navy, stationed in Norfolk, VA. Navy is a lot different from marines but when it comes down to it military is military. From my experience the military is very inconsistent with the way they work. one day your husband might get home at 2pm. The next day 8pm. And the next day 10am. Then he may have to work the weekend. Thats how things go.
