patrice Visitor	Chouteau/Adair Rivalry - 2005/11/04 12:14 I was wondering if the fierce Chouteau/Adair Rivalry still exists? The Chouteau/Adair rivalry during the late 80s and early 90s was big part of my sports memories at CHS.

Re:Chouteau/Adair Rivalry - 2005/11/04 12:29 I believe they had termed it the "Battle of 69" or something similar? I know it was still a pretty big rivalry when I left in '98. Chouteau is growing at a pretty fast pace though it seems like they are playing schools now that were a class above them when I was there.

Re:Chouteau/Adair Rivalry - 2005/11/05 12:59 Something funny about that...I graduated from Chouteau, but my sister went to Adair all our lives (she lived with our mom). So...the rivalry was a bit personal at our house. But, we never really fought over it...and it was great fun when our teams met...especially when it was me playing basketball in jr. high over there, cause my sister would be so torn as to who to cheer for. her little sister, or her home team.

fivetool Visitor	Re:Chouteau/Adair Rivalry - 2005/12/07 18:30 the last i heard about the rivalry, adair's been side-steppin' the mighty wildcats of chouteau. i played against them in '98,'99, but in '01 & '02, my lil' cuzin' (johnny jr.'02) was the last class to compete against them. chouteau's girls have been selected to play in the most prestigous tournament in the state (oklahoma's best)& carry a #6 ranking into christmas break which might have a little bit to do w/ it. let's keep it real ya'll adair's "just plum scared!" ya know!!!!!

Re:Chouteau/Adair Rivalry - 2005/12/19 16:04 Ha Chouteau girls are rockin out! its weird to see girls that i played with all grown up. but yea theyre in two of the best invitation only tournys in okla-tournment of champions and oklahomas best. coach oliver has really done an awesome job of building an amazing program.

Re:Chouteau/Adair Rivalry - 2005/12/29 12:01 Well in 1980 - 1984 it was a BIG Rivalry They came one year i think it was 1982 during football season and wrote alot of bad things on our school and did alot of damage but of course we got them back. But i remember something happening all the 4 years i was in school with chouteau & adair i remember alot of spray painting was going on during football season .
