Paul,
I use both browsers. IE 7 for Vista still has some security issue's, but FireFox seems to have worked out there flaws over the past few upgrades. Word has it that Fire Fox will be releasing another version. I have been running Vista Ultimate now since its release, and hopefully per Microsoft in October the first Service Pack, will fix any issues you might be having. ie.. scripting and such.
Hope this shed's some light.
P.S I work as a systems administrator and Information Technology, there is a site that is maintained by some of us computer geeks. If you will go to www.techreport.com you will find this place very useful, with up to date technology and quick fixes for alot of pc issues. It would be benificial to sign up on the forums.
