Brandy, you made my week! That is FUNNY! I tried 4 times to pass BEGINNING Algebra! 3 times at TCC and once through correspondance through BYU. I never got it, even with paid tutors. I finally got a Counselor at TCC to substitute a Psychology class for Algebra so I could get my Associates. All I had to do was pass two Accounting and one Business class. I already had all my computer classes and had all A's. So....I proceeded to fail Financial Accounting via online courses and I haven't tried again. I'm just older and have a worse memory than when I was younger so I know I will never be able to pass a math geared class. Not if someone threatened my families lives could I do it. No way. I'm just missing that part of my brain. I swear...in school people thought I was one of the 'smart' kids because my buddies were mostly brainiacs and my mother was a teacher and I wore glasses. Nope! I had you all fooled! I was a B and C student in High School and was right proud of my C's and D's in College. I was like Chris Farley in 'Tommy Boy' when he saw his final grade in some college class: "I got a D plus?!?! OMG....I PASSED!" Everyone always told me I could pass Algebra if I tried hard enough. Yeah right, they had no clue...... But I'm sure you can pass it! Just buckle down, put your mind into it, give it your best, and all that crap that sounds good but doesn't really get results on test day. The only real use for Algebra is to produce Algebra teachers. If I was going be a propulsion engineer or architect, THEN I would expect to have to take an Algebra course for my degree.
I hope you can pass it Brandy, I really do. Because people will get hired over you just because they have an IT Degree, even though when you discuss Active Directory 101 with them they just stand there drooling on the sidewalk and picking their nose.
