vacation - 2008/06/20 01:44 So, what's everyone doing for vacation this year? I'm looking for ideas, but I'll be toting an 8 month old and a 4 year old! We always go camping, but that's kinda hard with a crawling baby who puts everything in her mouth! Plus, I don't mind a break from camping sometimes. It's a little hard finding something that my girls will enjoy that my hubby will enjoy too. So, where's everyone going to have fun?

Re:vacation - 2008/06/20 04:34 We're flying off to rainy Washington state. One of my bestest friends is getting married in August, and we're going. He's been wanting to get us out there for about 5 years now, so I figure it's time. After all, he lived here for 5 years. (and truth be told he wants to move back lol)

Re:vacation - 2008/06/21 09:57 My kids will be taking the yearly trip to Branson and Silver Dollar City with nana and papa. They love it and I have no kids for the weekend ! Lydia has surgery sometimes that month too blah it's getting close.

Re:vacation - 2008/06/23 15:31 We just got back from Colorado last Thursday. We stayed a week with my parents in a cabin up in the high country. It was great.

Sarah you guys should take a cruise. I think with Carnival kids are free. You can pay a little to put them in Camp Carnival during the day and you guys can enjoy the ship and the ports while they are entertained. I imagine about the time you miss them you get them back for the evening. I think we'll try to do that next year.

Next one is due mid August. I can't believe we are starting ALL over again.

Re:vacation - 2008/06/23 17:49 LOL I know what you mean Chad. I ask myself daily (when Abby is attempting to assert some sort of dominance over anybody she can) what I was thinking. lol Starting all over...I just got them all in school! Ah well. Having one so little, when you're used to having at least two (if not two or three) so little is a whole different world! It's wonderful. But I still wonder about my sanity.

We've talked about taking a cruise, I'm just not entirely sure I'm comfortable with the idea. I guess that's what happens when one of your favorite movies is Titanic. lol

Re:vacation - 2008/06/24 02:32 I put my vote on a cruise too. My wife and I did a 5 day with Carnival back in 2006 out of Galveston and including airfare it was only $1200. The only thing we had to pay for was alcohol and any shore excursions. Great food and a cheap vacation in my opinion. Paul Anderson - The Class of '98
