Pray for Justin Haynes - 2006/12/18 07:13 I was just passed along the following information regarding Justin, please keep him and his family in your prayers.

*************

Justin Haynes is in intensive care in a hospital in Greenville, Texas, where he now lives. He was diagnosed with spinal meningitis and has been hospitilized since Thursday. Because of the severity of the illness, he is unable to be transported to Dallas for treatment. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts & prayers...

Re:Pray for Justin Haynes - 2006/12/20 00:51 After running more tests they have determined that he actually has Bacterial Meningitis. I'm not exactly clear on the difference. They are trying to get him stable enough to transport him to a hospital in Dallas. Paul Anderson - The Class of '98

Re:Pray for Justin Haynes - 2006/12/21 07:06 A diagnosis of Bacterial Meningitis as opposed to just general meningitis is a good thing. Bacterial is nearly always treated with a full or nearly full recovery. They just have to hit it hard with some pretty hefty antibiotics. The other type is a virus (from my understanding) and they're not able to do much but make the patient comfortable till the illness runs it's course, which leaves some pretty nasty problems in it's wake. I have a friend who's son came down with Bacterial Meningitis after a car accident and some pretty major facial and skull injuries. He's fine now.

I'm going to pray for Justin anyway though, because these days, nothing is certain. I pray for him to have doctors with angels on their shoulders.
