Re:Birthdays - 2006/01/17 00:58 For Liv's 1st Birthday...we had it at Pizza Hut and had all her friends and family there. I went to Party Appeal in Pryor and got 4 balloon arrangements...strawberry shortcake decor...the lady there is awesome. Nettie's Bakery in Chouteau made her Big cake and her own 1 year old cake (in the shape of a strawberry). We also bought these really fun strawberry shorcake party hats that look like strwbry shtcake's hat..I added a little sassy pink ruffle to Olivia's. Nettie has pictures in her shop of Olivia's cake if you want to see them. Red icing everywhere! It was great! Oh, and being a speech path, I had been doing blowing exercises with Olivia so she would know how to blow out her candle....she did it! Also I made heart shape cookies into strawberries - if you need tips on that let me know. And I had favors for all the kiddos...age appropriate...bubbles (wedding), strawberry flavored candy canes, stickers, suckers (nothing bite size to choke on) in strawberry bags...anyway it was awesome...had around 35 there...let me know if you need more details.

Re:Birthdays - 2006/01/17 01:30 Oh my gosh that sounds so adorable!!!!! I have been trying to think of neat ideas like that. All i could come up with is a water party I was thinking about getting her a baby pool and having little sprinklers set up in the back yard for all the kids. I have a ton of neices and nephews so I have to keep it fun for all ages. I don't know how well my idea will go. But your idea was so cute!!!! Where are the best places to find some cute inexpensive party favors for that age limit?? Kimberly Morgan

Re:Birthdays - 2006/01/17 17:41 Walmart has everything I used...you can go to the place in tulsa, lots of them...I try to buy locally (support local businesses) rather than buy online or go out of town. Also Party Appeal in Pryor as I mentioned is Awesome, Awesome! She can order whatever you need! Also does balloon columns and shapes! I think her name is Alecia? Anyway, when you go in, tell her Tina Van Horn at Lincoln sent ya, I order often. Her prices aren't bad at all! She has a lot of creative ideas too! Just some more advice to take or leave...something I read and followed and it was ( I thought) great advice...at this age, keep the party 2 hours max! At this age kiddos start getting fussy and are ready to move on no matter how fun the party. We timed everything with in a 2 hour period, and it went REALLY well. And they say to keep the crowd down at this age..the more the merrier I say! We always have a great turn out though....just a funny story... some of my bestest friends- Millie, Hallie, Dianna, and Valerie, offered to throw me a shower! There ended up being almost 70 people total that came! Anyway, these friends have always convinced me to do it big..why not? And we all have family, but if you're blessed with lots of friends too, such as I have been...invite'm all! LOL! Let me know if you have any more questions... I'm not going to include a picture of Olivia every time I reply to you... you can just look on my page if you wanna see her. I haven't seen you in a long time! Sounds like you are doing well. I'm glad to talk to you!

Re:Birthdays - 2006/01/17 19:35 Those are all great ideas. Thanks so much!!! There will be a ton of people at Emma's first bday. Well, you know how large my family is and then we add Derrick's to it plus friends. Man she is going to make a killin'!!! Yeah 2 hours should be the max that is very good advice. I know one person told me to plan it around her naps so that, she will be up and ready to go. It was great to talk to you also!!! Yes, it's been for ever I was just a little school girl the last time you saw me Kimberly Morgan
