Chouteau Early Childhood Developement issues - 2010/08/14 02:26 I have some questions if anyone can help. My youngest child was kicked out of school a day and a half into the school year. He is in Pre-K. My ex-wife was told that "He doesn't belong." They are claiming that he in not developementaly ready for school. I know for a fact that this is not true. All three of my kids are some of the smartest kids I have ever seen for their ages. Xander, (my youngest who this is all about) isn't the most social person until he gets used to a new situation, most kids aren't, especially at this age. What I would like to know, is if any of you have young children in Chouteau schools most specifically Pre-k, and if you are having, or have had any problems with teachers and administrators at the school. The school claims that Xander was not cooperating and not interacting well with the teacher. My ex had to stay with him for the part of the day he was at school the first day of school. (He only went the second half of the day because he smashed his finger in the car door when she took him in the morning so she took him back home to take care of it.) My ex said that the part of the day she was there with him, that the teacher was being rough and forceful with students to make them cooperate. They are preschoolers, the teachers should not be like this. His teacher is Mrs. Telemchuk, if any of you have any experience with this individual, please let me know.

Re:Chouteau Early Childhood Developement issues - 2010/11/30 01:47 Jeremy don't be discouraged brandi (Mrs. telemchuck) is a hard person to get along with and she doesnt really know what she is doing when it comes to teaching!!!!!!! Maybe if you try putting Xander in another scool andsee what they say about what she said!!!!!!!!

Re:Chouteau Early Childhood Developement issues - 2010/11/30 05:27 The boys and my ex moved out to Woodward in September, and were living with me and my girlfriend, so the boys are going to school there now, and Xander is doing great in school. He just needed a week to get used to the idea of being in school and adjust to the new environment. I have since moved back to Chouteau, bringing my girlfriend with me. We just found a place to move into of our own, and will be moving the weekend of the 1st of Jan. As of right now, my Ex is planning on staying in Woodward, and keeping the boys out there, at least until the end of the school year. Her "excuse" is that she has to do what is best for the boys, well, I don't see how not taking proper care of them, ignoring them, forgetting to pick them up after school, and not letting them live where they are happy and actually taken care of is what is best for them. The house my girlfriend and I will be moving into is in Pryor, right near the park. Anyway, enough of my ranting. We are collecting notes on all the instances of improper care and such so that we can have a solid case to fight for custody of the boys.

Re:Chouteau Early Childhood Developement issues - 2010/12/29 08:02 devolpmental problems or not they can not deny your child an education i have a daughter that is devolopmentally delayed shes in 2nd grade but developmentally should be in kindergarten plus if he has not been tested by people qualified to do the testing the teacher has no right to label your child at all with anything!
