Re:My New Vehicle - 2009/03/02 18:27 How to say this is kinda hard, so I'll just come right out and say it. I love my truck and it's protection. On Saturday, my truck was tested and passed the test. While driving down the road Saturday afternoon, my truck was hit by an IED. It was estimated that the IED was two pipe bombs setting together with about 40-50lbs of explosives between the two. They were also filled with ball bearings to do more damage. My truck was hit directly on the passenger side. The IED blew out the front passanger side tire, but that was the worst of the damage. NOBODY in the truck was hurt at all. Of course everyone was a little shaken, but absolutely ZERO injuries. There are places on the outer armor that have nicks and dents from the shrapnal, but that is it. Had we been in a smaller vehicle, or one without all the armor, we probably would have had a couple of guys hurt. So, now that I have unfortunately experienced what my truck can withstand, I love my truck. With the help of God, I won't have to experience anything like that again.

Re:My New Vehicle - 2009/03/03 20:32 Vance, dude, thank God you are all safe. That is some wild stuff. I'm so glad our troops have got something worthy of their trust now. To think if we'd had those beasts from the start..

That truck seriously looks like the rig in Star Wars that the Jawas cruised around in on Tatooine snagging up stray droids.
