Camping & Boating Places - 2006/08/31 17:39 Joe and I love to go camping. I just thought I'd see where everyone else likes to go. My favorite place to camp is Natural Falls State Park. The play ground is new and very nice. And the restrooms are super clean. The waterfall is absolutely beautiful. The biggest drawback is that there isn't much of any fishing.

Also we discovered Last Chance Ranch this summer. It's okay. We enjoyed the live music they have every Friday night and the barn dance. They have a HUGE pond that they call a lake, but I would call it a pond. If we go back there, it will be for the music, not the fishing. The RV sites are gravel. They also have paddle boats and some crappy swing sets. The place is very small.

Anyone else have some favorite places to camp?

Re:Camping & Boating Places - 2006/08/31 20:12 We go to Pine Island Resort. It is a great place in Zena (on Grand Lake)...Where is Zena, you ask? Between Jay and Grove. It is absolutely terrific...especially if you have kids. There is plenty to do as a family...fishing, swimming, boating, and games. You have access to the lake and they also have 2 swimming pools (one is indoors). They have RV spots, camping spots, and trailer rentals. It is a terrific place...you should try it out.
