Jeff Dunham - 2008/10/04 19:03 Went to see Jeff Dunham. Anybody that doesn't know who I'm talking about, go to YouTube and search Jeff Dunham. He's HILARIOUS. Anyway, went to see him last night. My sides hurt so bad by the time we left I'm STILL achy. And I have to say I'm more than a little impressed at the new BOK Center. That place is HUGE. And VERY impressive to walk up on at night. Overall it was a great night of comedy, in a beautiful place, and I'm SO glad we went.

And Vance, I ran into your brother there. LOL I forgot he told me he was going, and Ryan was waving at me as we were leaving, and I recognized him before I even noticed Dustan standing there. LOL Apparently Sarah didn't know they had tickets, so I hope he didn't get killed TOO badly when he got home.

I bet the show was awesome!! Jeff is so funny!! I never even knew who he was until I seen him on comedy central last year!

He was just in the national news for that one. I like 'Walter' too, that's basically me when I'm old and cantankerous.

Re:Jeff Dunham - 2008/10/05 03:41 Oh man the whole show was hysterical. You know what it's like to get 6,000 Okies in one room with alcohol!

He did Achmed, Peanut, Walter, Jose, and he did Bubba J as his encore. Even though the audience knew his routine with Bubba J better than he did! We had a BALL. It was great. My ribs STILL hurt from laughing so hard last night. The day finally sped up once we got to the arena, and it just flew by after that! One minute it was 10:30, and the next thing I knew it was midnight and Michael was here to get the kids! This was the first time we'd been out without Abby since she was born. It was a little strange to not have her to hang on to, or a diaper bag to contend with, but all in all it was a great date.

I first saw Jeff when he was on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Back when all he had was Walter, Peanut and Jose. I thought he was a riot back then, but he's only gotten better. I think I just dated myself with that statement though...there's probably a lot of folks on this board who don't even remember Johnny Carson...O_o

And Chad, I can *SO* see you as Walter. hehe Last night's act was a Christmas show. From what I understood (and I could be wrong) but I'm pretty sure they were filming for his Comedy Central Christmas Special. You can preorder it on Amazon, and they have a Christmas CD coming out too, that's supposed to be hilarious. With "Jingle Bombs" and a bunch of other songs for Christmas. I have a sneaky feeling that the $100 we dropped on those tickets isn't going to be the last money Jeff Dunham gets from us. LOL We already have the two DVDs he's released so far. And my kids have them memorized. Even the baby likes watching him. It's rather sad, but WAY better than watching Barney.
