Surprisingly not as authentic as it used to be. I try it now and I sound like all the other bad impersonators out there, so I never do it anymore.
I think as I move ever toward actually becoming a cantankerous, old, backwoods cuss, it's inversely more difficult for me to act like one.
For example; could you imagine Yakov Smirnoff doing an impression of himself? It would probably look pretty lame.
Or it could be that my voice finally changed. One or the other.
