Re:20 weeks! - 2007/03/16 18:44 Hehe, even worse, it was our DOCTOR who did the ultrasound! But he did tell us that it was probably a boy from what he could see, but that we'd have to check later on again to make FOR SURE. So we have a few baby boy outfits, but nothing real major. We found out at like, 30 weeks or something that it was a girl. Not too bad. It kinda threw me for a loop, and I haven't really trusted that it for sure IS a girl till yesterday. I saw another Dr. in the office and the baby cooperated with her and we know for sure. lol I'm so ready. I'm ready to meet her, and get to cuddle her, instead of her just cuddling ME. We've been told it could pretty much be anytime, but they're expecting me to go to full term, since my last two did. My first was early, but the last two were OVER. We're not going to let that happen. I'm gonna put my foot down. LOL! Think that'll work?

Re:20 weeks! - 2007/03/16 21:29 I think it will! Usually you can get induced up to a week before your due date if you really want to! My daughter was born 2 days past her due date and I'm really glad she wasn't any later! Well, at least you are pretty sure of the gender, now!

Re:20 weeks! - 2007/03/17 08:14 NO NO NO IT IS A GIRL!

We know for sure. No doubts. As of yesterday. Kim, you bought the right stuff. And Robyn, we're not naming her Robyn. Her name will be Abigayle Rowan. So no worries. We are sure...and this from two different Doctors. lol They both have told us it's a girl, and the last ultrasound (yesterday) was definite.

Re:20 weeks! - 2007/03/19 21:43 'Rowan' is cool.

I like Welsh names. I couldn't get Michelle to go for any I found though. I almost had her convinced to go with 'Justine' but she thought it would sound like we were going to have a boy named 'Justin' that turned out to be a girl.
I'd like to see some 'Lord of the Rings' names used commonly. Like Arwen or Eowyn. Someone else will have to take the lead there, however.

Here's a bunch of Welsh names. http://www.babynames.org.uk/welsh-girl-baby-names.htm

Before I was in the baby names market, I ribbed a friend for naming his daughter 'Morgan'. I told him he might as well have named her George. To me, 'Morgan' is a hairy, overweight, tattooed biker. (No offense to any hairy, overweight, tattooed bikers. If my arms were big enough, I'd probably get a tat.)
But, sure enough, later I read that it was a commonly accepted girl's name. Who knew?

Despite that, I know deep down if I ever walk through a park and see a heart carved in a tree that says "Barry + Morgan"... I will still feel a little uneasy.
