Re:Back to Iraq.....#3 - 2008/10/22 15:57 Hey Vance, do you do any Administrative work? Maybe when you get your 20 years in you can retire and come work at the DOE agency I contract for. We take people out of the services a lot. Mostly for Procurement or Financial Accounting jobs.
And lots and lots of electricians.

Re:Back to Iraq.....#3 - 2008/12/21 09:44 Well, the time has finally come. I am sitting in Kuwait as type this. I have been here for a few days. I will be leaving here some time after xmas to head into Iraq. Our mission is different this time from my last two deployments. I am still a medic, but instead of being in an aid station, I am in a field artillary unit. We don't do much with our big guns, so we just do a lot of convoys, patrols, and escort missions. Now that the U.S. is trying to turn everything over to the Iraqi people, we won't be running any major missions ourselves. We will be backup for the Iraqi army. This should be intersting. I hope those guys have their stuff together because I really don't want to have to work too much. I will try to keep everyone updated on how things are going over here as I can. Please keep my family in your prayers as they are having a really rough time with me being gone this time.
