Re:Drivers Ed - 2007/12/30 03:28 I remember that blue wagon. My driving group was me, Dustan, and Chris Ward. I remember driving Mr. Ashley all over to pick up the things he needed to get and to run his errands. He fell asleep on us a few times, especially on our trip to Tulsa. What fun.

Re:Drivers Ed - 2007/12/30 09:00 I only drove with Mr. Ashley twice. I always had Coach Wheeler. He NEVER fell asleep. And he took us to some funky places. But I have to say I'm not afraid to drive anywhere because of him though! Yea...hated that big blue station wagon. HATED it. that thing was HUGE. and hard to drive.

Re:Drivers Ed - 2007/12/31 15:55 Yeah, that was Mr. Rehl's car. He couldn't be bothered with walking and would drive it around on the football field with the AC blasting while we ran laps. I remember that distinctly from weights. And getting thrown under that big wooden box while 3-4 guys sat on it. Good times.

I had Mr. Ashley in Driver's ED. You had to have him because he could fix that barge when it would crap out on the road somewhere. I remember the front brakes locked up in our group once and he had us pull over and he freed them up with his hands.
My group was me, Kevin Kilgore, TA Rosson and Shane Henderson.
Shane must not have gotten much practice at home. He was a little scary behind the wheel.

I think Driver's ED shoould be required before you get a license. My wife does some things on the road that drive me nuts and I think a summer with Mr. Ashley would have cured them.
